Our avid fund-raiser Jim Main has been in action again with his partner in crime Joe Moon - a fellow employee at APD Ltd.
They completed the Arran-athon challenge on the longest day of the year all in aid of the RAP foundation. The challenge compromised a 55.53 mile cycle around the beautiful isle of Arran; followed by a 874m climb up the highest point, Goat Fell; finishing with a 10.12 mile run across the isle back to the hotel.
Their aim was to complete the challenge within 12 hours but managed a fantastic time of 11 hours 20 minutes with a total time spent on the activities of 7 hours and 54 minutes.
A well deserved pint (or two..) of Guinness was consumed at the end of the day.
Big thanks go to Robbie and Barbara Crawford at the Kinloch Hotel for kindly providing the accommodation free of charge and looking after the guys so well. Also to Alex Graham for driving the support van and keeping spirits up.
