Our Automation Engineer, Martin Candlish, and his wife Lynn have set themselves a monumental challenge this year. They are taking on 'TEAM C'S TOUGH 10 FOR SUPER SAM'. This involves taking on different obstacle course races all over the country such as Tough Mudder, Relentless Suffering and Tough Guy to name a few (just reading the names is enough to make us exhausted!). The original plan was 10 events but I believe this has now been extended to 12!
They are doing all this in aid of Super Sam's fund. This is a fund supporting the Brain Tumour Charity, and in memory of Sam Dorrance who unfortunately passed away of a brain tumour in 2016, at the age of just 5. So far the total raised by Team C is £14,148! Absolutely amazing!!
This weekend Team C were joined by some special guests to take on Tough Mudder at Drumlanrig Castle. Our Project Engineer "some old bloke" Garrie, Approved Electrician "former male model" Grant, Sam's dad Graeme, APD's Marketing Coordinator Emma and her friend Katie joined Team C to take on the extremely muddy and ice cold waters of the 20 obstacle course.
Good news - they all survived and smashed it!! Here are some pictures (how the hell is Grant so Clean??!). Huge well done to the team. Few well deserved beers at the end!
